Sayo Nagase (b. 1978 Japanese) surprised us with a small series that included pictures of a Japanese girl in basketball jersey and cherry shorts drawing a geezer with chalk on a deserted asphalt road in Itami, Japan. The series was photographed with only one roll of camera film.

The sixth publication in this monthly series is completed by Stockholm based photographer Mikael Olsson. The airy, dreamy b/w images in this publication were shot on the island of Capri. Their subject is the Villa Lysis, a mansion that was built for the French poet and writer Jacques d'Adelswärd-Fersen. After fleeing France in 1903 after being accused of "indeecency" with young boys, Count d'Adelswärd-Fersen lived in the building with his lover Nino Cesarini until his drug-related suicide in 1923.

The building itself was designed by architect Edouard Chimot in an Italianized version of Art Noveau. The entrance bears the Latin inscription Amori et dolori sacrum - A Holy Place for Love and Sorrow.

Mikael Olsson, born 1969 in Gothenburg (Sweden), recently finished the book Södrakull Frösakull (Steidl), a photographic portrait of designer and architect Bruno Mathsson's private homes in Sweden. The images from the book have been exhibited by the Hasselblad Foundation in Gothenburg, Sweden.

The fifth publication in this monthly series is completed by Amsterdam based Viviane Sassen who put together a sequence of pictures done with a digital point-and-shoot during a day in Marsa Alam, Egypt, where she spent a holiday with her family, February 2009. She mainly focused on her young son Lucius.

After studying fashion, photography and a degree in Fine Arts, Viviane Sassen started working for magazines, as well as exhibiting her artwork at galleries and museums. She developed a strong personal style, especially recognizable in a sensitive yet graphic approach; the use of shadows and the deformation of the human body.

Her images rather raise questions than statements. Her work has been published in magazines such as Purple, I-D, Self Service, Fantastic Man, Dazed & Confused, Vogue Paris and shot campaigns for Miu Miu, Louis Vuitton and Tsumori Chisato to name a few. Her work concentrates mainly on Africa; her new book Flamboya has recently been released by Contrasto Publishers.

The fourth publication in this monthly series is completed by Stockholm based artist Jenny Källman where she assembled pictures of young peoples everyday lives. She blends documentary shots of the social games of the street with more or less pre-arranged scenes.

In Jenny Källman´s work she dwells in the twilight zone between documentary and stadged photography. Recurring themes are the fragility and exposure of young people, and the altered perspectives through which they view and live their lives.

She has participated in exhibitions at, among other, Crystal Palace, Hasselblad Center, Tensta Konsthall and Kulturhuset and has published the book Works of Jenny Källman with text written by the author Andrzej Tichý and design made by the Swedish graphic design team Research and Development. In September 2009 Jenny Källman will show at Centre Culturel Suedois in Paris.

For more than a decade, the poet and musician Lee Ranaldo and the artist Leah Singer have been collaborating in multimedia performances. Lee Ranaldo is a founding member of Sonic Youth. Leah Singer is an artist, with film as her primary medium.

The exhibition iloveyouihateyou at Magasin 3 is based on an audiovisual work by Leah Singer and Lee Ranaldo. This work is an exploration of how image and and sound interact, and will be staged both as a live performance and as an installation. Their performance work and installations combine a flow of images and sounds taken from everyday situations, moments that reveal the beauty of the ordinary and turn the commonplace into something extraordinary.

The exhibition also features three historic experimental films on the theme of "everyday existence" and the capacity to see the greatness in small things. The films are by Gordon Matta-Clark, Terry Fox, Nancy Holt & Robert Smithson.
